Komi Kimono Jacket

Hoy os enseño la Komi Jacket de Wardrobe by Me. El patrón no es del todo nuevo, pero ha sido actualizado con más opciones y más tallas. Esta es mi versión como tester.

Today I am here to show you my new Komi Jacket by Wardrobe by Me. The pattern has been updated with more options and sizes. This is my version as a tester. 

La verdad es que me va un poco grande. Pero en la versión final del patrón se ha solucionado reduciendo las tallas, así que la próxima que me haga quedará perfecta. Aun así, me irá genial en invierno, cuando llevo mil capas de ropa cuando trabajo desde casa.

It does look a bit too big on me, but the issue has been solved in the final version of the pattern, where the sizes have been reduced, so the next one will be just perfect. I will still get tons of use out of this one, because in winter I wear a milion layers when I work from home.

Me encantan los bolsillos y el acabado de las mangas.
La tela que he usado es un punto bastante grueso y pesado de Ribes i Casals. Lo genial del patrón es que se puede coser con tela plana o de punto, e incluye un delantero con pinzas y uno sin para ello. Además, el cuello se puede hacer con o sin solapa, y también está la opción sin mangas.

I love the pockets and the way the sleeves are hemmed.
I used a heavyweight knit fabric from Ribes i Casals. The jacket can be sewn in knit or woven fabric, isn't that great? It has two different front pattern pieces, one with darts and one without them. Also, the neck can be finished with a simple collar or a shawl collar. And there is also a sleeveless option.

Rosy Dreams - Desafío Ribes y Casals

Hace unas semanas, desde Handbox me propusieron participar en el Desafío Ribes y Casals para la nueva temporada de otoño-invierno, y por supuesto que me apunté sin pensarlo dos veces. El reto consistía en coserme algo eligiendo telas de Ribes y Casals por menos de 30 euros.

Llego por los pelos y derrapando, y es que hoy era el último día para publicar. Pero teniendo en cuenta que las telas me llegaron el jueves, casi ni me creo que lo haya conseguido. El viernes la lavé, el sábado la cosí, y hoy hemos hecho las fotos.

La tela es una sudadera afelpada muy suave y calentita que elegí en su tienda online. También elegí un puño azul marino para darle un poco de contraste, pero no me acabó de convencer como quedaba la combinación, así que al final lo hice todo en la misma tela.

El patrón que he utilizado es el Rosy Dreams del último número 5/2018 de la revista Ottobre. Me encantan esas mangas. El patrón tiene dos versiones, una corta y otra vestido. Iba a por el vestido, pero una vez hecho parecía un saco. Demasiado ancho. Elegí la talla según la tabla de medidas, pero podría haber hecho una menos tranquilamente. Decidí acortarla y me gusta mucho más así, pero no descarto estrecharla un poco. Si no lo he hecho ya es porque me cargaría los bolsillos....

Pero en fin, por menos de 30 euros tengo sudadera nueva super cómoda que me irá de perlas para este invierno.

Rebel Raglan Sweater

Ribi tiene un nuevo jersey favorito, y hoy me paso por aquí y por #mrhandmade para enseñaroslo, aprovechando que es #maromartes.

Me moría de ganas de seguir experimentando con la recubridora, y este patrón ha sido perfecto para añadir unas costuras decorativas con el hilo Woolie Lock de Fujix. ¡Queda espectacular! Eso sí, cuidadín con la plancha, porque si te pasas de temperatura, el hilo se derrite. No me preguntéis cómo lo descubrí... porque no quiero ni recordar el momento pánico que pasé.

I so wanted to continue experimenting with my new coverstitch machine and this pattern was perfect to add the constrating coverstitching with Fujix Woolie Lock thread. Doesn't it look great? But there obsviously is a but... be careful with the iron on that thread. At high temperatures it will melt. I won't tell you how I discovered that, because that is really a scary story that I want to forget.

La tela nos encanta. Es un punto jacquard que compré en Stoff & Stil. Perfecta para una sudadera lisa pero con un toque especial.

Isn't this fabric so cool? Me and my husband love it. It is a knit jacquard that I bought from Stoff & Stil. Perfect for a plain sweater with a little special touch.

El patrón es el Rebel Raglan Sweater de Wardrobe by Me y le va clavadísimo. Simplemente perfecto. Los únicos cambios que hice fueron acortar las mangas un par de cm y reducir la longitud del puño del cuello porque el primero que hice de prueba quedó algo desbocado.

The pattern is the Rebel Raglan Sweater by Wardrobe by Me and could not fit him better. It is simply the perfect size and proportions. The only changes I did were to shorten the sleeves a couple of cm and also reduce the neckband, because on the first test that I did it was too big.

Empiezan a acortarse los días y con ello las horas disponibles para sacar fotos... Pero lo conseguimos, en el último momento, cuando ya se ponía el sol. La fotógrafa se puso un poco de los nervios, no me aclaraba con la cámara y no me gustaba ninguna foto. Pobrecito mío. Como sé que vas a leer mi entrada: gracias por tu infinita paciencia y por no tirarme puente abajo, amor mío. Te voy a hacer otro jersey para compensar, ¿vale?... Pero claro... después tocará hacer fotos otra vez jejeje.

Days start to shorten and we have less hours availabe for photos... But we managed, last minute, at the sunset. The photographer me was on her nerves... the camera did not want to cooperate and I did not like any photos. My poor dear husband. I know you will read this, so: thankyou for your neverending patience and for not pushing me off the bridge. I love you and will make you another sweater to compensate, ok? But then we will need more photos lol.
