back in time, I haven’t really owned many pants in this style, and the one
or two I might have had in the past were always too short and too not flattering at all. Then the skinny jeans arrived, and those are all
that I’ve been wearing in the past few years. It is so refreshing to wear
something different for a change, and the wide leg seems to be back in trend, so this pattern has arrived at the perfect time.
Hoy vengo a enseñaros mis nuevos pantalones anchos. Los más chulos que he tenido nunca.
Retrocediendo en el tiempo, no he llevado nunca muchos pantalones de este estilo, y si tuve uno o dos en el pasado, siempre fueron demasiado cortos y nada favorecedores. Después llegaron los pantalones ajustados, y eso es lo que he llevado todo el tiempo en los últimos años. Ahora los anchos parece que vuelven a estar de moda y está genial tener un poco de variedad.

I am so happy that I was able to finish them, because the last weeks were a bit tough with family matters and life got so complicated that I wasn’t able to sit at the sewing machine until last minute. I had to rush, but luckily enough the only couple of stupid mistakes that I did because of the rushing are only visible from the inside lol.
Los Hepburn Pants es el nuevo patrón que acaba de sacar Wardrobe by Me y del que he sido tester, como de costumbre. ¡Estoy tan contenta de haberlos terminado! Las últimas semanas fueron complicadillas por aquí por temas familiares, y no pude sentarme a coserlos hasta el último minuto y con prisas. Ya sabemos que las prisas no son buenas, pero por suerte, el par de meteduras de pata que tuve solo se ven por dentro jeje.
My only complaint about this make is the fabric. I like the color and the feel of it, but it got plenty of faded lines when I prewashed it... which makes me think that it will probably get even more fading when I wash it again... Also, it is impossible to remove the wrinkles no matter how hot you iron it. It is a denim twill that I bought really cheap, so I guess that I got what I paid for.
El patrón me encanta, pero la tela ha sido un fiasco total. Aunque me gusta su tacto y color, salió de la lavadora llena de marcas descoloridas, y seguramente saldrán más con el próximo lavado... También ha resultado ser imposible quitar las arrugas con la plancha. En fin, es una tela vaquera que compré tirada de precio, así que supongo que tengo lo que he pagado.
After the two Cargos and the Chinos that I made for my husband, this was the fourth time with the same method of zip fly and welt pockets. It gets easier every time, but I still have a long way of improvement to go. Anyway, I am very happy with how these turned out! For the first time, I did not have to unpick the zipper even once! I think that after four more, maybe I will be able to sew it without the instructions lol.
Después de los dos Cargos y los Chinos que le cosí a Ribi, esta ha sido la cuarta vez con la misma técnica de bragueta y bolsillos de tapeta. Cada vez resulta más fácil que la anterior, pero aún me queda mucho que mejorar. Aun así, estoy muy contenta con el resultado. Por primera vez no he tenido que descoser la cremallera ni una sola vez jeje. Dentro de cuatro más igual ya no necesito ni seguir las instrucciones jeje.
I find the rise of the pants perfect. They are high waisted but not too much. Absolutely comfortable to wear!
Me encanta el tiro de estos pantalones. Aunque son de tiro alto, no son demasiado altos, que por muy de moda que pueda estar, a mi todo lo que pasa del ombligo me parece de lo más incómodo.
The pattern includes two different options for the leg width, and I chose the widest one. I just thought that if I was going wide, then it had to be all the way wide. And I love it.
El patrón incluye dos opciones de ancho de las perneras. Yo hice la versión más ancha y me encanta.
I also made sure to make them extra long. I lenghtened the pattern a few cm just in case. Better to trim afterwards, rather than end up with something too short. I tried them on with my shoes afterwards, and adjusted the length to almost touch the ground. I might try a cropped length in my next pair, we will see!
También los he hecho extra largos. Alargué el patrón unos cm por si acaso. Siempre se está a tiempo de cortar y quise asegurarme de que no quedaran cortos. Después me los probé con mis zapatos y ajusté el largo hasta casi tocar el suelo. No descarto cortar los siguientes para un estilo "crop" como se lleva ahora, pero ya veremos.
